Salesforce Campaigns

If you use Salesforce campaigns, there's a couple of features we think you will find useful.  The first allows you to link a Sent Campaign Monitor Campaign to a Salesforce Campaign. The link is made available on the Campaign Monitor Statistic section.

The second feature allows you to auto-create Salesforce Campaigns when a Campaign Monitor Campaign is Sent. Not only will the Salesforce Campaign be created but we will link both Campaigns and also create Salesforce Campaign Members.

The integration will only create Campaign Monitor Campaigns in Salesforce when they have actually been Sent.  Depending on your sync settings it can take an hour (by default) from when the Campaign has been sent to appear in Salesforce.

Link an email campaign to a Salesforce campaign

After you have created and sent an email campaign from Campaign Monitor:

  1. In Salesforce, create a new Salesforce campaign or open an existing one.

  2. In the Campaign Monitor Statistics section, click Link to Campaign Monitor.

  3. Select an available campaign and click Link Campaign

You can only link one email campaign to a Salesforce campaign, and the same email campaign can't be linked to multiple Salesforce campaigns. Salesforce Campaigns will not be auto-created if the source Campaign Monitor Campaign is already linked.

Auto Create Salesforce Campaigns

Via the Campaign Settings option, you can turn on a feature that will automatically create Salesforce Campaigns for each Sent Campaign Monitor Campaign. Salesforce Campaigns will be created when the main sync runs which by default is set to every hour.  To learn more about Campaign Settings click here.

When turning on this feature it is, not retrospective. Only Campaign Monitor Campaigns created after the date this setting is enabled will result in Salesforce Campaigns being created.
